Business Consulting

Bridgefield Group consulting services provide quick turnaround, high-payback benefits associated with specific improvement projects, not open-ended engagements. Our diverse industry experience and background allows us to deliver the education that provides new concepts, the methods to translate concepts into practical daily application and the change project expertise that ensures a successful transition. We  select the methods and technologies from the mix of those available that directly improve the operations best aligned with your strategic goals.

Our Assess - Define - Execute - Sustain methodology is designed not to create a one-time event, but to generate the knowledge transfer and process change that allows your ongoing continuous improvement and self-sufficiency. You want to reduce cycle time, improve quality and customer service, and reduce inventory and working capital- we help you choose the best methods to get there.

:: Areas of Expertise

Our consultants average over 20 years of relevant experience in planning, operations, quality, logistics, finance, IT and project management in multiple industries and demand environments. Our specific areas of expertise include:

:: 90-day programs

We provide the following programs that deliver specific results in 90 days and include education, assessment, knowledge transfer and implementation:

VMI (Vendor-managed inventory)- selecting products and processes, defining target inventory levels and replenishment methods, creating communication and reporting systems and shared-win contracts

Demand forecasting systems- demand history evaluation, selecting proper forecast techniques, product/territory levels and accuracy measures, creating supply chain partner systems, defining the monthly cross-functional process

Lean practices- selecting highest-payback methods from the toolkit of lean practices, moving from forecast-driven to demand driven systems, creating specific components such as kanban size and TAKT time calculation, plant layout, time/quantity buffers

Performance measurement/management- creating specific scorecards, dashboards or other relevant measurement systems based on short and long term goal definition; aligning ongoing management with best practices and business rules

Data record accuracy- establishing current state baselines and ongoing processes to improve and maintain critical levels of accuracy in inventory, order and product definition (bill of material and routing) data
